Terms of Service.
Last updated: June 1, 2026
These Terms set out the rules for using the ProteQon website and the basis on which we engage with prospective and existing clients. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms govern your use of the ProteQon website and any consultations or services that begin through it. By accessing this website or booking a consultation, you agree to these Terms. Paid engagements are governed by a separate written agreement, which prevails over these Terms in the event of any conflict.
2. Our Services
ProteQon provides offensive security services, including penetration testing, red team operations, and related advisory work. Information on this website is provided for general purposes and does not constitute a binding offer, security guarantee, or professional advice until a formal engagement agreement is signed.
3. Authorization and Scope
All security testing is performed strictly within a defined scope and only after we receive written authorization from a party with the legal right to grant it. We do not test systems, networks, or applications without explicit permission. You are responsible for ensuring you hold the necessary rights and authorizations for any asset you ask us to assess.
4. Client Responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate scoping information, maintain appropriate backups, and designate a point of contact for the duration of an engagement. Testing inherently carries some operational risk; you are responsible for ensuring critical systems are prepared and that you have the internal authority to proceed.
5. Confidentiality
Both parties agree to keep confidential information disclosed during scoping and delivery strictly private. Findings, reports, and any sensitive material accessed during an engagement are handled under confidentiality obligations and the terms of the relevant agreement.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, branding, and design — is owned by ProteQon and may not be reproduced without permission. Deliverables produced during an engagement are licensed to the client as set out in the engagement agreement.
7. Disclaimers
A penetration test is a point-in-time assessment. It identifies vulnerabilities discoverable within the agreed scope and timeframe but cannot guarantee that all weaknesses have been found or that systems are immune to compromise. Our services are provided without warranties of any kind except as expressly stated in a signed agreement.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ProteQon shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of this website. Liability arising from a paid engagement is governed by, and limited as set out in, the applicable engagement agreement.
9. Responsible Disclosure
If you believe you have discovered a security vulnerability affecting ProteQon, we welcome responsible disclosure. Please contact us at the address below before publicly disclosing any issue so we can investigate and respond appropriately.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to ProteQon's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction agreed in the applicable engagement agreement.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent version. Continued use of the website after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
